The last sanctuary, “Choquequirao,”
Choquequirao continues to be discovered, since it still only has 40% of being discovered by the Ministry of Culture and has already surprised many travelers from all over the world. Here we explain the discovered sectors.
Llamas Sector, which has more than 22 recorded llamas on the 15 terraces and 1 graded shepherd or muleteer on the penultimate platform.
The Main Square, which has an enclosure built with two-story stones.
The Inca cemetery is located next to the water channels, also known as the Triumphal Wall.
usnhu; Located at the top of the Choquequirao mountain, which has an incredible view of the Nevados, some archaeologists believe that it was a religious place.
Colcas: These constructions are very common since they were built in main Inca centers, and Choquequirao was not the exception. The colcas were used to store food and other items, such as clothing.
Platform Sector: It has an end of terraces that were destined for cultivation in places pending the Apurmac Canyon.
Households: Next to the plaza there are some five houses, which were built for the priests of Choquequirao, suggesting that this place was a very important ceremonial center.
