This trekking to Huchuy Qosqo (Inca ruins) starts from the archaeological center of Tambomachay, which is located in the north of the city of Cusco, 30 minutes away. From this point, the Inca Trail tour to Huchuy Qosqo begins.

The total distance of this tour to Huchuy Qosto is 25 km, with a positive unevenness of 975 m uphill, crossing mountains, lagoons, cliffs, and small towns, and walking along the same path of the Inca towards the archaeological site of Huchuy Qosqo.

Huchuy Qosqo, which comes from the Quechua word that means in Spanish “small Cusco,”  has the same altitude and climate as the city of Cusco. It was built as a small city that has terraces or terraces, water channels, small streets, houses with Inca walls, a main square, and a sacred temple. Most of these constructions are made of upper clay material and base perfectly polished Inca walls like the citadel of Machu Picchu.
