Downhill the Wizard & the Shepherd Cusco

Downhill the Wizard & the Shepherd Cusco

Our two downhill adventure routes, The Shepherd “El Pastor” and  The Wizard “El Brujo”, are located in the surroundings of Cusco. These two mountain bike feature short singletrail paths, aggressive, vertical paths, stone gardens, and advanced level stairs.

Our first mountain bike starts near the Huacoto community on paths through eucalyptus forests from 3,800 m. to 3,300 m. where the San Sebastián district is located. This route takes between 40 to 30 minutes of full downhill depending on your riding level.

After finishing the El Pastor “the shepherd”, we will board our transportation to head to the Occoruro pass at 4,250 m. where the El Brujo route starts on a horseshoe path with stairs, vertical sections until 3,300 m.

Both singletrails are categorized as technical enduro for experienced cyclists, starting from 4,000 to 5,000 m.; many tourists experience altitude sickness, so it is recommended to do mountain biking after the second day to acclimate.

For these routes, we have the best professional mountain bike (full suspension), best equipment, best mountain biking route, and the best adventure guide in Cusco.
